Jonah's 4th birthday party was lots of fun! The kids each got a superhero cape and mask.

My DIL put a lot into the party planning and decorations. She hunted down a refrigerator box and they fixed it up like a phone booth for Superman to change into his costume. Of course, these little kids had no clue about that, but they had fun playing in it anyway.

They put up a screen magnet door to try to keep flies out of the house. The screen door was a big hit!
Here's Eli playing with it.
We got some good cuddling in over the weekend and were sad to leave. It's hard being a grandparent who doesn't live near their grandkids. Jonah cried when we left. Boo Hoo!
OMG, so cute! Looks like everyone had fun and kudos to grandma for all those superhero capes!ReplyDelete
What a fun party and the phone booth was an excellent idea.ReplyDelete
That looks like so much fun!! How nice that you were able to be there for the party!!ReplyDelete
That is one birthday party none of those kids will ever forget! No wonder they cry when you leave! Looks like the DIL has a strong creative streak in her too! Glad that everyone had a great time and that you got to be there for all the fun. ---"Love"ReplyDelete
Very cute party ideas--and cute kids!ReplyDelete
That looks like a fantastic party and the capes and masks made it extra special! How will you top that for next year?ReplyDelete
They are adorable!
How clever. My 21 year old son would have LOVED a party like this. Your DIL had wonderful ideas!ReplyDelete
Oh to be 4 again!! What a perfect party!!ReplyDelete
It definitely looks like the kids had a good time, but I never thought about the younger generation not knowing how Superman changed into his costume! As for grandkids crying...my parents live 10 minutes from their 3 granddaughters and at least one of them bursts into tears every time they have to go home (the youngest is 7, nearly 8, and she still does it!), so living closer may not change the tears, just the frequency of seeing them! But those tears tell you that you're loved and being a wonderful grandma, no matter how hard it is to see them. :)ReplyDelete
Such wonderful ideas for a party - no wonder it was a success.ReplyDelete
What a great party. Love those super hero capes. The phonebooth is awesome.ReplyDelete
I would guess that you probably felt a lot like Jonah when it was time to leave. Hugs.
