Yesterday I received a surprise package in the mail from Lisa in Montana. She wrote me a sweet note thanking me for helping her with her blogs and projects. I'm going to show my age here, because I can't for the life of me figure out what she is referring to and worse than that, I don't remember who she is! Please, Lisa, if you see this, let me know where our paths have crossed before! Thank you so much for the charm pack and pattern! I love them and want to make the table runner with 3 of the larger print flowers as the focal point. I'm beginning to wonder if I am going nuts here. Hee Hee! Let me know if I'm the wrong person! We have been looking for a camper for a long time and debating about what kind to get, etc. We finally settled on a truck camper and we found this one on Craigslist. It had all the features that we wanted and was nearby. DH was sick and we couldn't go look at it when we wanted to and were afraid someone else would snatch it before we had a chance to see it, but we finally were able to go and decided to get it!
It is a 1994 Lance camper with a tiny bathroom. It has a microwave, stove/oven, generator and one of the best features is the Stable-lift system for getting it on and off the truck. The next thing we need to do is find a truck to put it on. I can fit my featherweight sewing machine in it also!!!
Now we need to get it organized so we can fit all our clothes, food & sewing stuff inside! Then, we can hit the road. We probably won't go anywhere for a while because we have lots of other things to do as well, like paint some rooms in our house, have a garage sale to get rid of some junk, etc.
We have a trailer and a truck. I have taken my featherweight on many trips and love it. Sometimes we meet up with my sister-in-law and brother. She and I set up outside and piece away. The varying light is my only complaint, but that can be solved with portable Ott lights. You are gonna have a great time!!ReplyDelete
That camper looks like it will be a lot of fun! Where do you plan to travel?ReplyDelete
I'm not sure I could fit all my sewing stuff inside though!
Congratulations on finding the camper! We sold our trailer and finally found a cmaper we liked. It sure feels tiny and storage is difficult to find!! But we can deal with that.ReplyDelete
I hope you figure out who lisa is...I'd like to see her blog too!! LOL
I had no idea a camper like that could have a bathroom! I thought you had to have a ginormous one... Where do you plan to go?ReplyDelete
The camper looks new! You will have so much fun. We have been camping with our kids for about 11 years now. We don't go far from home, but everyone loves it.ReplyDelete
What a camper!!! I hope you find your mystery Lisa :) ChristineReplyDelete
that was me!! I had a giveaway about a month ago and I am just now sending goodies out! If you remember I was on apq with you too!!ReplyDelete
So glad your mystery was solved. Like your camper, we have a pull behind and we just love it. Right now DH has it set up on our hunting land to use when he wants to stay over night and hunt the next day.ReplyDelete
Your camper looks great! We have a 15 foot Hi-Lo trailer that we pull. It's great, I love it. Even being so small, it has a bathroom and really feels roomy. We just picked up our new truck on Friday. We have to get the first 1000 miles on it to break it in, then we can hook up the trailer and go! I know you will enjoy traveling!ReplyDelete
I would love one of these! Great buy.ReplyDelete
Looks like you are getting set up to really, really enjoy your retirement! I'm so happy for you! There's nothing like it! (Does your husband fish?) ---"Love"ReplyDelete
The camper looks great, adventures await and of course you can manage stitching on the road.ReplyDelete
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who forgets things like that! :) We love our camper and I had the best time ever garage sale shopping for stuff I would need in it. And I take my Featherweight and my handwork and even if I don't get outside I have the best time. blessings, marleneReplyDelete
