Since returning from the graduations, I have been trying to get some donation quilts finished so I can take them to the next meeting of my Gone to Pieces guild, which is June 15.
This pink and green one came about because I had picked up the hummingbird square at the last meeting. One of our members had been given several bins of good quilting fabric because a neighbor had passed away. That was just one piece that I got, the fabric for the following brown quilts was also gained from the "free" table so that we could use the fabrics for donation quilts. This guild has about 34 members.
Back to the pink/green quilt top. I decided to use pink and green strips to make the blocks, which I have mostly sewn together. I will try to find some pink or green to use as borders to make it a little larger.
This brown HST quilt is in the process of getting quilted.and it will finish a little smaller than the one below.
This last one is finished and measures at 60 x 48. My neighbor gave me some fabric for the backing and the binding is some left over strips that I had on hand.
I've also been working on a 250 patriotic wall hanging that I will show at the July meeting of the Willamette Valley Quilters guild. This guild has over 150 members.
And last and least are 2 doll quilts. I sold a couple in my Etsy shop so I figured that I needed a couple to replace those. I like having some "easy" sewing to do in between some of the harder sewing.
