Oregon Quilt Festival, day 2

Two days down and one to go!.  It has been fun and we have sold a lot of items.  I have 4 quilts hanging in the show.  Here is one of them, named "Uncle Henry's Barn."  I'm quite sure I have shown this quilt on the blog before, but I never had a chance to take the picture while it is hanging up spread out like this before.

Uncle Henry's Barn

I named it Uncle Henry's Barn because we used to go visit my Mom's relatives in Minnesota and we always stayed at Uncle Henry's farm.  These were very special days for me - a girl born in Chicago and growing up in the Chicago suburbs.

Lori, from Humble Quilts also has a booth at the quilt show and she is very close to my booth.  I couldn't help getting a few reproduction fabrics and a book from her.  I think her booth is the only one there that has reproductions.  These are my purchases.  I am seriously trying to decide what else I might get at the show today.

I didn't take many pictures, but I will take more today to post.  Here is one that I just loved and wondered why it didn't have a ribbon.  Isn't it amazing?

If you live near Salem, I hope you will come to the show - and stop to see me.

  1. Uncle Henry's Barn is a great quilt!
I am happy to hear you could visit with Lori. I am not surprised that she is the only one with repro fabrics. So many shops around here have quit carrying them or carry a very small, limited selection.
That quilt is gorgeous. I can't imagine making that many feathered stars. It appears to be beautifully quilted, too.

  2. I remember your quilt, but not the name you'd given it. It looks amazing hanging in the show. And the feathered star quilt didn't win anything? Wow! Must be stiff competition!

  3. Thank you for sharing these lovely quilts from the show. Naming your quilt after Uncle Henry is a nice touch. Such charming fabrics. They'll make a lovely project.
