I've been working on my log cabin blocks this week and am almost finished with them. I figured that I need 360 of them and by my last count, I am lacking 9 blocks. It won't take long to get those finished.
Stack of almost 100 blocks. |
Friday I stopped at a fund raising garage sale and saw these blocks - couldn't resist buying them. I put them up for sale on my Etsy shop.
It doesn't look like we will get the house we made an offer on, so we have been looking at more houses. There is a possibility in one of them, but we are still looking.
Nice looking log cabin blocks. A lot of work goes into those. I started a log cabin quilt once and lost my steam. Don't even have it on my UFO list. : )
ReplyDeleteAre those other blocks parts of a DWR?
Love your log cabin blocks - they are one of my very favorites. Also like the yard sale find! Good luck house hunting!
ReplyDeleteSo love the little log cabin blocks. And you are almost done too.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping that you find a house soon. In the beginning house hunting is kind of fun, full of possibilities, but that kind of fades fast for me. I bet you are a bit anxious to find your new home and start settling in.
Great find with those quilt blocks! Your log cabin is coming along so nicely - I even recognize a couple of the fabrics as some I've had in my stash for awhile. Sorry to hear you didn't get the house you were hoping for. We think we have ours sold - if everything goes well with inspection, appraisal, etc. etc. Yay!
ReplyDeleteYour log cabin blocks are beautiful - I have always loved the traditional red centres. Look forward to seeing how you will arrange them :)
ReplyDeleteThat is quite a stack of Log Cabin blocks! No doubt you have a special plan for getting them together; can't wait to see the plan. That sale block is really pretty! Hope you find a house soon! ---"Love"
