YELLOWSTONE AND GRAND TETON NAT'L PARKS

We spent June 30 & July 1 at Yellowstone National Park. I'm not posting a lot of pictures because the pictures just don't do it justice.
We got to see Old Faithful erupt twice!
We crossed the continental divide several places.
Then we travelled south to Grand Teton National Park. We didn't spend much time there - we were just passing through and enjoying the beautiful scenery.
One of the highlights for me was getting to see these buffalo up close. They seemed to want to cross the road and a lot of cars stopped to take pictures. We also saw elk, fox and deer on our trip (also chipmunks).
Tomorrow we will be home! It will be good.

  2. I'm jealous!

DH and I have been talking about going to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons. We were talking about doing it this summer but I don't know if we're going to have.

    Thanks for sharing your photos.

  7. Hey, we have a photo just like yours, of the Continental Divide, taken about 3-4 weeks ago, but ours is all covered in snow! Isn't it all breathtaking? You're right - photos do NOT do justice to the scenery and grandeur. 8-))

  8. Glad you are having such a wonderful time! Yellowstone is on our list of places to go someday. We watch Old Faithful on their web site and have been fortunate enough to see it erupt a few times but it would be soooooooo much better in person! Love the buffalo pictures, too. From my Boy Scouting days, I am a member of the Buffalo Patrol from Wood Badge training and have a collection of buffalo items. I'll have to blog about that one of these days. Enjoy your trip home and getting to sleep in your own bed again, ahhhhhhhhh!
