STARS AND A BOM

When I saw the "A Little Starstruck" quilt pattern by Ann Hermes in the June issue of American Patchwork and Quilting, I knew I had to make it into a doll quilt. I hunted through my reproduction fabrics and added another row of stars to it. Even though I have plenty of quilting to do - both hand and machine - I wanted to start some of these star blocks. I love these blocks and I see them in so many patterns, I've used them in quilts before, but I wanted to use them again. They are so basic and I love basic!
I made enough for two quilts!!
I finished my "A Tisket A Tasket" BOM just in time for the new one to come out!! At least I'm not falling behind!

This is my 99th post and for my 100th post I'm going to have a gift drawing. Be sure to check back! I don't know when I will post it, but I will give bloggers about a week to comment.

  1. Sawtooth Stars are my favorite! Have you ever tried a sawtooth in a sawtooth? Double the fun!

  2. Your sawtooth stars are very well done. I have loved the basic sawtooth from the beginning of my quilt making venture. And I agree with Lori. The star within a star is double the fun!
You are doing good at keeping up with the basket blocks. I can't say the same.

  10. Great job on the basket block. Each one just seems prettier than the next. I am printing them out and will possibly make them some day, but sure am enjoying seeing all the versions everyone is coming up with.

  11. Glad you liked "A Little Star Struck". It is one of my favorites that I designed. I like your version with the extra row of stars; it will be pretty when it is finished. Do you machine or hand quilt?
