It was a rainy day yesterday and we decided not to travel, so I got my sewing "room" set up. Just like your sewing room, I have various "stations" for different activities.
|
Ironing station on kitchen counter. |
|
Cutting station on pull-up shelf by sink. |
|
Sewing station on my side of the table - DH is using the computer on his side. |

Design "chair" |
You can "make do" when you have to! I pulled out my 1 1/2" strips and some other scraps to put together another doll quilt. I didn't have enough pink for the alternating blocks, but I got most of it put together. I will be concentrating more on hand work until we get home because I guess I didn't bring enough projects on this trip.
Today we head south to Massachusetts!
What a great set up you have there! We like to camp, but I've never taken my machine, always just hand work. Your little project looks great!
ReplyDeleteLove your "design chair"... a rainy day is perfect to spend sewing!!!
ReplyDeleteHow fun;) And you always have different views out of your "quilt room" windows;) Enjoy the day;)
ReplyDeleteHappy Quilting!!
Sounds like perfection to me - love those pinks! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI love this and remember each and every space. If you are visiting a quilt shop in Mass. you can always pick up another little project (like you really need another one, LOL)!

My favorite is the design "chair". Looks like you have plenty of room to work.
ReplyDeleteYour "make do" is great and all within reach! Less steps and accomplish lots!! Your little doll quilt is going to be darling!
ReplyDeleteLook forward to viewing your trip to Massachusetts :)

That's a pretty nice arrangement for your "sewing" room! Nice view out the window too! I think you've gotten more sewing done than I have this week. ---"Love"
ReplyDeleteI definitely LOVE what you have on your design chair :-)
ReplyDeleteTraveling and quilting - doesn't get any better than that! Enjoy...
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog a few days ago. I didnt realize you were in a camper. How kool is that ! I asked my hubby if we could do that but we dont have the resources . So it is still a wish , a dream..I can imagine being cozy in the camper well covered outside and in. Sewing and maybe watching a few movies on my laptop . Videos mostly. Then moving right along , not having to stay in one place all the time. Ive done that for too long..When I was a kid we didnt stay put more than a yr. Love diggs for your quilting. Enjoy your trip. Id love to go to Hyannis and nantucket if I were in Mass.
ReplyDeleteGreat use of space...
ReplyDeletewhat fun! love the little quilt and your attitude and perseverance to keep sewing while traveling
ReplyDeletecan't wait to see the doll quilt as a top!
Your in a beautiful part of our Country.

Such creative use of your space, but what I like best is that you and your husband can work on opposite sides of a table. Great togetherness.

You just nixed another excuse not to quilt that I hear a lot, "I don't have room to quilt." Where there is a will, there is a way. Enjoy your time on the road and your quilting. Love the beginnings of your doll quilt!
