First, the T-shirt quilt is almost finished!  I sewed the binding on this morning and now I'm hand sewing it to the back.  I'll get it in the mail this week!

Yesterday at my quilt guild meeting, we received our Round Robin quilts back.  Before I show you my RR, here are a few that I added borders to.

These are NOT finished yet because other people added borders after me.  I added the 4-patch border on this one.

On this one, I added the hourglass green and yellow border.

And this one, I added the last border; the one inch squares and green border.

Here is MY Round Robin finished!  I am really happy with it!

Center block is 12"; total size 50" square

Actually, I agonized over some of the borders that I had to make, and had pretty much decided I didn't want to do it again next year, but after seeing how they turned out, I think I might just participate again!  I'll be thinking about it.  Have you ever participated in a Round Robin?  How did it turn out?

Inquiring minds want to know.

  1. I have never made one, but I have a single feathered star block I made that I want to make into a medallion quilt. I thought I'd make a queen-size quilt, but after one block, I was finished.

  2. Lovely RR top you have to add to your collection of quilts. The guild I joined in Mac did round robins but I didn't participate the year I attended, too many other things on the agenda at the time. They all turned out really nice though. Guess I just really like to work on my own projects!

  3. You did a good job on the T-shirt quilt! The borders you added to the RR's really added a great finish too. The one you received is very pretty; I like the softer colors. I've never participated in a RR project. ---"Love"

  4. You contributed some great borders.
    Your quilt turned out lovely!
I have never participated in anything like this. I visited a guild once where they were showing off their finished row robin quilts and they were incredible! ALMOST made me want to join a guild. : )

  5. I have never done a RR but it looks fun. Bit of a gamble I guess but these are great!
yay for finishing your t-shirt quilt

  6. Any kind of challenge is hard for me, but i have a RR and love the results. Nice work!

  7. Great group of quilts...all so pretty! And I love the T-shirt one...I've made one, and plan to make others. Have the T's all set aside. I am moving to Oregon myself in the fall...close to Bend!

  8. I like yours best! The borders are perfect for each other, but I totally understand about the agonizing decisions. My guild did a row-by-row and I had the hardest time deciding what to make for each person because what I like and what they like were often not the same thing! But I'm sure you found, like I did, that it pushed your creativity and talents and was worth it in the end.
