SWAP BLOCKS, THRIFT SHOP & ANOTHER FINISH

While in Oregon, I went to a thrift shop and found this darling cross-stitched picture all finished for me - and I only paid 50 cents for it. I just need to either frame it or make it into a quilted wall hanging (I'll do this if I have some blue that will look good with it). That is my kind of deal!
I finished this stitchery just after we got home and DH framed it for me. The pattern is a freeby from Susan's blog. I changed it a little and colored in the bird, sheep's head and ears instead of using a satin stitch.
Today I'm sending 3 sets of blocks to my block swap partners.
Gotta get my salad ready for tonight's quilt guild salad supper. Try to keep cool!

50 cents is a very good buy on the cross stitch. It looks like it was very well done. Good eye for a good buy.

Your cross stitch was a fantastic find for 50 cents. Well done! Nice little stitcery and I like that you coloured in what was meant to be satin stitching. Neat trick and one I will use. Your swap blocks are so bright anc cheery - the girls will love them. Ann :-)

Don'tcha love thrift shops? I haunt them, LOL. Love the embroidery. Did you use the crayon method to color it in?

Cute stitchery and I like adding color to stitching like you have done. Your table runner and little baskets on the prior post are great!
