TABLE RUNNER AND DOLL QUILTS

This post will link with QuiltShopGal's Creative Goodness Linky Party.  If you have any new projects, you can link them there as well.

I have had the Moda Laura's London Lawns II charm pack for several years and "finally" decided to do something with it.  I made HSTs with the charm pack fabrics and two different white on white fabrics.  This will make a great spring or summer table runner.

I quilted it with white thread on the white portion and a variegated blue, pink and green on the colored portions.

There were some 5" squares left over, so I cut them into 2 1/2" squares and made a couple simple doll quilts out of them using the backing fabric for the alternating yellow squares.

I dug around in my stash to find a backing for the doll quilts and came up with this Timeless Treasures doll fabric by Bonnie Benn Stratton.  It is to cute and I had been saving it for something - but didn't know what.

I still need to sew on the binding, but will get that done this weekend.  Thanks for visiting!  What have you been working on?

  2. I love how you quilted the sashings in the table runner! The doll quilts are precious. I've been working "cultivating" wildflowers this week, and finally got the big thing sandwiched yesterday. I hope to begin quilting it today; don't know how much I'll get done with looking out for storms here today. ---"Love"

  4. Love all your new projects. I have been knitting. Can you believe it? I started one project, it's nearly finished, and I have another in the works. Like I need another hobby.

Your table runner is inspiring. I have a need for 3 table runners soon, and I think I might use your idea for one of them. Very nice.

  10. Well, you've been so busy getting those projects moved along so nicely! Good work and a perfect use for that carefully saved dolly fabric. My low energy coughing/cold left me with only one row pinned to sashing and not even sewn yet. Maybe today.
