CIVIL WAR BLOCK & VINTAGE SPOOLS

Saturday's civil war block (#27, Irish Chain) is finished!

I'm a sucker for garage sales and when I saw this container of threads on wooden spools, I couldn't resist.

When you open the box, the spools tilt out so you can remove them.

Such pretty colors!

I need to stop going to garage sales, because the camper is getting too full!  DH just rolls his eyes!

I may not be able to post for a while as we are leaving DS's house tomorrow and don't know when we will have access to the internet.

Happy Independence Day!

  3. That thread box is cute as a bug! Good find! If all DH does is roll his eyes, I wouldn't get too worried. We got a little rain here last night; don't know about your place, but it will be 100 for another week! Have fun, and stay safe! Happy 4th! ---"Love"

  9. Consider the eye rolling good exercise for the DH. I'm sure he doesn't really mind that much, I bet he likes to see you happy! The spools and case are a great find! Enjoy the rest of your trip and have fun at the quilt show in Sisters this weekend!
