PROGRESS AND SOMETHING NEW

I finished the top of the bow-tie doll quilt.  It measures 15" x 17".

The pink and brown HST doll quilts are totally finished.

Small one measures 13" x 15 1/2".  Larger one measures 15 1/4" x 17".

I saw a new BOW (block of the week) being offered by Moda designers and decided it was something I could keep up with.  Each Wednesday a new block will be presented on the blog of one of the 6 designers for Moda, including Betsy Chutchian, Jo Morton, Lynn Hagmeier, Lisa Bongean, Jan Patek and Moda.  Click here to get to Betsy's post that explains everything.

These are the bundle of Betsy's new fabrics that I ordered from her.

This is the first block, which was designed by Lynn.  All the patterns are free and measure 6" finished.  You can start this any time, even after a couple months as the patterns will still be up and there will be 48 of them.

I love the background fabric.  It's from Betsy's new line - Rachel Remembered.

  1. Your bow ties little quilt will be so cute when finished, just as the HST quilts are. You've tempted me to try the BOW; at least I've printed the Block 1 pattern. Yours is so pretty, and you know I love R/W/B. Surely I can make time to make one block a week. We'll see. ---"Love"

Good job on your blockheads block. I've not done more than print out the pattern. Still telling myself not to get involved. : )

  4. Cute finishes! The doll quilts are adorable. I have been following posts about the Blockheads BOW and I saved the pattern. I don't know yet if I have time to work on it, but it sounds like fun.
