NEW SEWING MACHINE

I decided I wanted a portable sewing machine to take with us when we travel after I retire. I looked at some of the newer machines, but wasn't that impressed. So I decided to get what I really wanted - a Singer Featherweight. I found lots of them for sale on Ebay and decided to go for it!

HERE IT IS!

A SINGER FEATHERWEIGHT!!!!!!

Isn't it cute? I love it! Below I am testing it out and it works great! This will be perfect for traveling. It has a neat little suitcase that it comes in.

The best news, though, is that DS#3 safely returned from Iraq! We are so thankful and will be going to see him, DIL and GS Jonah this weekend. Thanks for all your kind words of encouragement and prayers for him while he was in the middle east.

  2. So glad you have your loved one home safely from Iraq.
I used to have two of the Singer Featherweights. Sold both. I am sorry that I did not keep one of them. I wasn't using them and sold the last one when we downsized.

  11. I know your son's return is an answer to prayer. My heart sings with yours! You will love the Featherweight. At one point I had two! I finally decided it was sinful to be that selfish so I sold one. But I would never part with my 1937 one - I've had it for at least 10 years and it goes in the camper with me when we travel. blessings, marlene

  22. Love seeing pictures of antique sewing machines...I have a featherweight I adore. I use it for piecing more than any of my other sewing machines. It's perfect to haul into the kitchen to sew and get away from the kiddos for a little bit! :)
