MYSTERY QUILT

I'm chain piecing Bonnie Hunter's "Christmas Lights" quilt from Quiltmaker magazine. I have admired Bonnie's scrap quilts for a while and decided to jump in and make this quilt. I had parts of the blocks made from the July/August '09 issue and I just found the September/October '09 issue at JoAnn's .
I have the 12 star blocks finished and now I'm working on the 20 red blocks. I wonder how they're going to go together!
Here's the last Christmas Wish BOM from Gail Pan. I have lost track of how many of these there will be. I guess I'll find out soon!
I made 4 of these bags out of charm squares. We are going to participate in a craft show in September, so I need to get some merchandise ready!!
I am eager for summer to be over. I'm very tired of 100 degree weather. If we're still in Texas next summer, I don't think I will plant any flowers. What's the use! It is just too hot!

I'll try to be better about blogging. I just needed a little time off of blogging, but I still spent time reading many blogs and I love seeing everyone's beautiful projects!

  1. I want to do a mystery quilt sometime, in the meantime I will live vicariously through you.

I hear you on the heat, but I keep reminding myself 0 degree weatehr will be here before I know it, and I HATE cold.

take time with blogging, it should be fun not a chore. I think I overdo it, but it makes me happy =)

  3. The blocks look super and I have only just received the July/August issue of Quiltmaker. So seeing the next stage is a treat. Your charm square bags are delightful - I'd snap them up for Christmas presents. Ann :)

  4. I really love those charm square tote bags. Did you make up the pattern? You should write up a tutorial on the bags and send it in to Moda Bake Shop!

  6. I've never made one of Bonnie's quilts but that looks like it would be a good one to do. Your blocks look perfect! I love the embroidery - but embroidery is one of my very favorite things to do. I haven't made those because I have so much stacked up already but I'll be looking forward to seeing them all when you're done. blessings, marlene

  7. You are doing great with keeping up with your projects. There just aren't enough hours in the day for me to take on any of these special BOM's.
