Some Very Special Treasures

The pin on this old quilt is one that my mom wore in the 50s.  I always loved this pin, so when she died I got it - noone else wanted it anyway.

My mom made this baby quilt when she was expecting her first child, my older brother (who is now 71).  I think we all used it in the crib.  I remember my little brother using it after me (I don't really remember using it myself)!  My mom loved applique.

Oh what a beautiful baby quilt and what a wonderful treasure to have. I like the pin too, and have several pieces of my grandmother's and mother's jewelry that are priceless to me. Maybe I will post a picture of one on my blog tonight.

Beautiful, beautiful quilt and pin, what treasures you have there.
Sorry I haven't put anything on my blog about the award you sent me, cause I really do appreciate, I just don't know how to get it from your blog to mine. Sorry, I am really NOT good with the computer. DH hasn't figured it out either.
But that was so very sweet of you, to think of me, and when we get home I am going to try to find someone that can help me with my computer skills. Maybe I am just getting too old to even be on this thing.Have a great day, Bobbin

Wow! What a great family quilt. I love the detail work with the applique. This is very cute. Also, the rose pin is lovely. I think it is fitting pinned on the quilt that you show. Very nice.

Those are very beautiful and special! I really do love that baby blanket. I wish I had been able to make something like that to pass down to my kids.

Oh wow. What a keepsake and so beautiful. It doesn't even look like it has "love spots" worn through.
