GIFTED QUILTS

I gave two of my recent quilt finishes since we came to Oregon.  Last night I gave the anniversary quilt to my DS and DIL for their 25th anniversary.  You can see the love birds kissing while wrapped in the quilt below.  This morning we took them to the airport for their anniversary trip to England, France and Scotland!  It's hard to believe they have been married that long!

As I had mentioned, our DGS just graduated from high school and will be going to college on an academic and music scholarship.  Below you can see him playing the piano.  He doesn't want his face to appear on my blog, so I'm showing you this view.

Here he is wrapped up in the quilt that I made for him.

We're still looking for a house…...

  6. Oh Ruth - what a bunch of lovely photos. The two of them wrapped in the quilt, the piano (and player) with piles of lovely music about, and the not-face all wrapped in the quilt. Nice. 8-)))

  8. You are an amazing quilter . . . I am so impressed. I'm a beginner, but loving the process of learning. We surprised our family a couple of months ago when we moved out of our home of thirty-three years and bought a small house in the country. We didn't make the move that you did, we are only about three miles from our old home. After thirty-three years of collecting stuff . . . this job of moving is taking it's toll, LOL. We will soon be done and can put the old house on the market, to pay for the new house :) I'm happy to meet you and delighted to be your newest follower. I would also like to invite you over to visit and if you like my blog, I would be honored to have you as a follower, too.
    Happy house hunting.
    Connie :)

  14. What a perfect photo of the anniversary quilt! I think they liked it! And that music your grandson is playing looks pretty complicated. Particularly since he has two hands doing something different. It looks like he likes his quilt also.
